Utility Associations Meeting

In early December 2015, the Danube Water Program organised a regional meeting of utility associations. In total, delegates from 13 utility associations in the partner countries, IAWD, World Bank, GIZ, IWA and ÖVGW participated. 

The goal of the meeting was to reflect on the activities and outcomes of Phase 1 of the Danube Water Program, inform participants about the forthcoming Phase 2, and, most importantly, get input on the planned capacity building activities. An international team of consultants facilitated workshops, discussions and group exercises aimed at gathering local expectations and experiences with capacity building. Furthermore, results from a survey amongst participants in the first round of capacity building were presented.
