2018 Danube Water Conference

10th International Conference on Water and Waste Water Reality and Challenges

First Danube Region Benchmarking Workshop

22 - 23 March 2018, Ċ½abljak-Niksic-Tivat-Boka Kotorska, Montenegro

On March 22-23 2018, the newly esatblished Danube Hub - a regional benchmarking Hub for leading utilities in the Danube region - will organize its 1st Danube Region Benchmarking Workshop to discuss results of international benchmarking reports. The workshop is supported by IAWD and the Danube Water Program and will take place back-to-back with Celebration of the World Water Day in Montenegro.

Final Workshop of Bulgarian Utility Benchmarking Project

The final workshop of the Bulgarian Utility Benchmarking Project presenting the results of the last Benchmarking cycle took place on 20-21 February, 2018. Regional workshop on Performance-Based Contracts (PBCs) for Non-Revenue Water (NRW) reduction

12-13 February 2018, Bucharest, Romania

The Danube Water Program (DWP) in association with the Romanian Water Association (ARA) will organise on February 12-13, 2018 in Bucharest a regional workshop on Performance-Based Contracts (PBCs) for Non-Revenue Water (NRW) reduction. This event will bring together about 60 participants from Danube basin countries, as well as other countries with relevant experiences and interests, so as to discuss the potential for PBC approaches to support water losses reduction in the region, and how such projects could be best designed and implemented.

European Commission - World Bank Water Day

23 January 2018, Brussels, Belgium

The World Bank organized a high-level Brussels Water Day on January 23, 2018 together with counterparts in the European Commission (DG Environment, DG Regio, DG Near, DG DevCo, DG Move and DG Echo) as well as with the EIB and OECD. The event built on more than a year of sustained engagement at bilateral level between these institutions.
